1 The Plus plans are some of the most popular individual plans available in Washington; low office visit copays, deductible waived
and 100% of the first $400 for lab/xray. The Plus plans include prescription drug coverage and excellent vision benefits.
The deductible and coinsurance are waived for the first four office visits on these plans, you only pay the copay!

2 The Core plans are also very popular individual plans.  They feature low office visit copays, deductible waived
for preventive care and 100% of the first $200 for lab/xray.  The Core plans offer discounts on prescription drugs.
The deductible and coinsurance are waived for the first four office visits on these plans, you only pay the copay!

3 Lifewise (a Premera subsidiary) is the leader in catastrophic plans.  WiseEssentials is for those in good health
looking for value.  Although the deductible is high, it's waived for the first six office visits per person per year, you only
pay the 25% coinsurance for those visits.  Chiropractic and Acupuncture is covered for only a $25 copay.  Preventive care
is covered and there is a $15 copay for generic prescription drug (discounts for non-generics).
  .
4 Group Health Options, Inc., a subsidiary of Group Health Coop (GHC) covers all licensed providers!   The network
includes GHC, Virginia Mason and Everett Clinic affiliates.  The deductible is waived for in-network office visits ($30 copay).
For out-of-network (any licensed provider), office visits are a copay only after deductible (still great benefits).
  .
5 Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are a terrific option for those in good health seeking tax deductions.  There are two parts
that make up these plans, a high deductible HSA health plan (quoted above) and a savings account that works like an IRA.
HSA plans have proven to be the best value for those looking for tax-advantaged plans.  See our HSA section for more details.

6 Security Life's Primestar Dental offers great benefits is one of the only individual dental plans that lets you use any dentist.

7 Smart Smile is a scheduled benefit plan meaning you simply pay a predetermind copay for each procedure.  For example, $10 for
an office visit, $400 for a crown.  Unlike the other dental plans, there is no waiting period for any services.  The downside is you
must choose from their very small list of dentists (Seattle: 12, Kirkland: 2, Bellevue: 12, Auburn: 1, E. WA: 0, Tacoma: 6, etc.)
Your dentist won't be on the list.  If you are new to the area or don't mind changing dentists, then this plan may work for you.

The above represents the most common choices, however additional plans are available.  Refer to plan summaries for complete benefit details.  Family members can choose different carriers and plans.  Final rates are dependent on the requested effective date of coverage, ages of adults, and number of family members to be covered.  The insurance carriers reserve the right to change the premiums at any time, however, changes ordinarily occur only annually; August 1st for Regence and Asuris, July 1st for Group Health Coop, January 1st for Lifewise, and May 1st for KPS Health Plans.  All medical plans quoted, except Assurant, require each applicant to qualify using the Washington State Standard Health Questionnaire.  Applicants are also subject to a pre-existing condition waiting period unless waived due to qualifying prior coverage.  Due to regulatory reasons, rates are the same regardless of agent or broker used.  Brokers represent the client and are bonded.  Agents represent the carrier and are not required to be bonded.  Green Financial is a licensed broker (most are licensed as agents) and specializes only in the Washington market and is the recommended Broker of the WAHealth.org network.
